当地时间17日，“不爽猫”的主人在官方推特上发文宣布，7岁小网红“不爽猫”因泌尿系统感染于14日在美国亚利桑那州的家中去世。
“很遗憾，她最近因为尿路感染出现并发症，最终没能克服病症离开我们了。除了作为我们的孩子和家庭中真珍爱的成员外，她还曾给世界上数百万人带去欢笑，即使是在艰难的时候。”
消息一出，国内外网友几乎同时陷入悲伤。
Grumpy Cat, perhaps the internet’s most famous feline known for her permanent scowl, died on Tuesday aged seven, according to her owners.
The furry celebrity’s family announced her death on Twitter on Friday.
"We are unimaginably heartbroken to announce the loss of our beloved Grumpy Cat," wrote Tabatha Bundesen, Grumpy Cat's owner, who declared that she died following complications from a recent urinary tract infection.
"Grumpy Cat has helped millions of people smile all around the world – even when times were tough," Bundesen, who lives in Morristown Arizona, wrote.

Before being given the name Grumpy Cat, she was a cat named Tardar Sauce.
She had feline dwarfism and an underbite which caused her permanently "grumpy" facial appearance, according to her owner.

She rose to prominence in 2012, when a photo of her was posted to Reddit, captioned "Meet grumpy cat."
Her image quickly became a meme, as hundreds of people started to add bold words above and below her frown to express grumpy thoughts.
留言里也有不少人质疑这张照片被修过。
为此，塔妲的主人在YouTube上发布了一段视频。一时间，在互联网猫界，塔妲人气举世无双，堪称第一网红，“不爽猫”的昵称也随即而来。
从喵届“表情帝”到“商业宠儿”
在全球范围内的火速蹿红，“不爽猫”也为她和她的主人带来了不菲的经济收益。

The cat has been used for lots of brands, such as the Friskies, a cat food brand and she also appeared on many television advertisements and magazine covers.

In 2018, the cat's owner was awarded 710,000 U.S. dollars in a copyright lawsuit. Grumpy Cat Limited sued the owners of U.S. coffee company Grenade for exceeding an agreement over the cat's image.

Grumpy Cat is also the first cat in Madame Tussauds history to be immortalized. Her replica, an animatronic waxwork with five different movements, was unveiled by Madame Tussauds in San Francisco in 2015 and has since toured many locations around the world.
